About me...

 

Blossom is a Bristol-based ceramicist whose work plays with the boundaries between functionality and sculpture throughout all her pieces. Her inspiration comes from the freeness of lines in the organic world; shying away from symmetry and exploring natural forms. Her dinnerware toys with this idea by clearly portraying her belief that even your dinner plate can be a piece of art. Every piece holds the memory of the fingers that made it, with pulled edges and hand-pressed walls, her more sculptural pieces being created over many weeks with the use of fine coils, making each one entirely unique. This was enhanced by her bachelor's in creative art at Bath Spa University.
